What to do in Bolinao, Pangasinan?

Sunset at Patar Beach
Bolinao is a name of a fish in our province in Bicol but in Pangasinan, Bolinao is a 3rd class municipality that is facing West Philippine Sea. The town of Alaminos in Pangasinan is the popular one than Bolinao because of Hundred Islands National Park but not much known to everyone, Bolinao has also lots to offer.

Patar Beach
1. Patar Beach Bumming - Patar beach is located in Brgy. Patar where its name is derived. Locals call Patar beach as 'little Boracay of the North'. The sand may not seem white and fine as Boracay but it's golden sand with a touch of the sun will surely charm everyone who understands that beautiful beach doesn't need to have white and fine sand to be beautiful.

Bolinao Falls
 2. Chasing Bolinao Waterfalls - Every waterfall has its own beauty, Bolinao Falls has own beauty. After the unpaved way going to this seemingly remote area, it is worth it to pay a visit and soaked yourself in a cool water.

swimming inside Wonderful Cave
3. Cave hopping - Bolinao has a number of freshwater natural caves which you can actually swim inside. One of which is called Wonderful Cave. It is located in a private property.

Cape Bolinao Lighthouse
 4. Visit the Cape Bolinao Lighthouse - It is a century old lighthouse built by the Americans in 1905. It is also the second highest lighthouse in the Philippines.

5. Photoshoot at Bolinao Rock Formation and Sea cave -

Balingasay River and the sea meet
Balingasay River
6. Balingasay River Cruise - Balingasay river is the cleanest river in Pangasinan. This is the reason why I want to go back in Bolinao because I've missed it when we went there.
